It was hard trying to decide what crafty whatnot I could make for her since she's a busy crafty bee herself. So, I tried my hand at a little needle book since she's been doing fabulous embroidery projects as of late.
The front cover....
Homes for needles and pins and embroidery thread.
Ooh...that binding was tough for sure. I needs me some practice!
More needle homes. xxoo
And a pocket for odds and ends.
Not too bad for my first venture. The binding was by far the hardest part. I've never used this stuff before so I had no idea what it was supposed to look like or what the best way to sew would be. I guess I kind of winged it. I get to go to Chicago in a couple of weeks to see Becca in person and she had promised to take me on all sorts of fabric adventures! I can't wait....it's been too long since I've been to good ol' Chi-town and too long since I've cuddled Becca.
In other news, I'm going to try to get in with the awesome ladies of Handmade Detroit again for their Craft Revival on April 18th at the Magic Stick. 30+ vendors and lots of amazing happenings...it's sure to be an awesome event. Entries are due by February 27th so I have to get crack-a-lackin. I'm torn between submitting photos of my tried and true items that landed me a spot in the Detroit Urban Craft Fair or going out on a limb with something new. Hmmm. We'll see. It all depends on factors such as time and stress and Joan and things like that. If you live in the area, you should really check the Revival out...or better yet, apply to be a vendor! The more the merrier!

I love the needle book! So cute! I'm sorry you weren't able to join us as a vendor for Spring Fling ...A Craft Thing on April 4. I hope you can still stop by!
That needle book is AMAZING. I love the binder ring holding it together-- cute cute cute!
